Anahola Beach Park - Description

Anahola Beach Park is a relatively long but narrow beach that offers wonderful shade due to the abundance of trees. In the background of the park, the green mountains of Kauai appear in their full glory.

Due to the length of the beach, it is not crowded and you can relax here, take a walk, sunbathe or enjoy the mostly calm sea. Only on the weekends, the locals like to visit the beach and it may be a little louder and more crowded.

The beach is family-friendly, as the waves are calmed by the reef, so even little children can swim safely. At the northern end of the beach, a river flows into the sea, which is also an ideal playground for children.

If you enjoy camping, this is the place to be and you can pitch your tent with a permit. Info: https://www.kumucamp.org/

What we say

Tommy
At the right end of the beach is a great place where even very young children can enjoy the shallow water. It is great that you can camp here directly on the beach.
Our checklist & tips:
  • Sufficient parking spaces
  • You should be careful with your valuables because homeless people live on the beach sometimes.
  • Camping on the beach possible
  • Suitable for families
