The varied facets of Ka'anapali Beach

A beach in absolute perfection. Miles of white-gold sand meander along Hawaii's coastline together with the gentle waves of the sea. Also, Ka'anapali Beach is known for its many entertainment options across the street from the beach. Shopping opportunities, restaurants, cafes and seven resorts are just a part of it.

The mile-long white sandy beach Ka'anapali Beach is located in the west of the island of Maui and invites you to experience a diverse day at the beach. Man-made many years ago, the beach was once used as a retreat for royalty and runs from Black Rock, past the seven resorts, to Canoe Beach. Ka'anapali Beach is one of the most popular as well as well-visited beaches on the island. Like all of Maui's beaches, it is free and open to the public. There is always a hustle and bustle here, with many people strolling along between the beach and shops or enjoying the sun and beach.

The entrance to the calm sea is shallow and ideal for swimming. You can also dive into the colourful underwater world of Hawaii. Around the Black Rock, colourful fishes can be observed while snorkelling. However, if you are looking for an adrenaline kick, you can try cliff jumping from Black Rock. But beware, it looks easier than it is when the locals do it and especially with currents that cannot be seen, it can quickly become dangerous. The shops across the street provide the ideal diversion for those who can't stand lying in the sun all day. The Whalers Village Mall and a variety of restaurants are right next to the spread-out towel.

A limited number of parking spaces are provided at the northern part of the beach, alternatively, parking spaces can be used at the Whalers Village shopping centre.
