Golden bay in the west of Maui
A beautiful golden bay in the middle of a resort and residential area invites visitors to sunbathe, snorkel and watch turtles. Napili Beach is one of the less crowded beaches and is especially popular with locals.
The golden beach on the west of the island of Maui is located in a recreational area of a resort and residential neighbourhood. The beach and the area are less commercialized and thanks to its location between residential buildings, it is popular with residents and locals. However, Napili Beach is still one of Maui's uncrowded beaches. The golden sand and crystal-clear water create perfect conditions for a few relaxing hours on the beach. Green sea turtles also relax in the bay and enjoy the warm sun rays on the beach.
If the weather conditions are good, the waves are very calm and swimming is possible without any problems. The water is shining on calm days and the offshore reef is perfect for snorkelling. Even through the surface of the water, the exotic fish and colourful corals can be seen easily. On the other hand, when the surf is rough, powerful waves form quickly and currents that cannot be seen developing. In these weather conditions, snorkelling is not a good idea and can become dangerous quickly. These are also not good conditions for swimming. On such days, only experienced swimmers should enter the water.
Parking at Napili Beach:
There are only a few associated parking spaces available for visitors. Those who are not lucky here can park for a fee on the grounds of the tennis club across the street. Those who visit the beach only in the afternoon can use the parking spaces of the tennis club free of charge from 14:30 onwards.
