Golden bay in the west of Maui
A beautiful golden bay in the middle of a resort and residential area invites sunbathing, snorkeling and turtle watching. Napili Beach is one of the less crowded beaches and is especially popular with locals.
The golden beach on the west of the island of Maui is located in a recreational area in a resort and residential neighborhood. The beach and the area are less commercialized and thanks to its location between residential buildings, it is popular with residents and locals. Still, Napili Beach is one of Maui's uncrowded beaches. The golden sand and crystal clear water create perfect conditions for a few relaxing hours on the beach. Green sea turtles also cavort in the bay and enjoy the warm sun rays on the beach.
In good weather conditions, the waves are very calm and swimming is possible without any problems. The water is shimmering transparent on calm days and the offshore reef is perfect for snorkeling. Even through the surface of the water, the exotic fish and colorful corals can be easily seen. On the other hand, when the surf is rough, powerful waves develop quickly and currents that cannot be seen develop. In these weather conditions, snorkeling is not a good idea and can quickly become dangerous. These are also not good conditions for swimming. On such days, only experienced swimmers should enter the water.
Parking at Napili Beach:
There are only a few associated parking spaces available for visitors. Those who are not lucky here can park for a fee on the grounds of the tennis club across the street. Those who visit the beach only in the afternoon can use the parking spaces of the tennis club free of charge from 14:30.
