Magic Island Lagoon - Description

An artificially created peninsula at the foot of the Ala Moana Beach Parks offers safe and quiet swimming and snorkeling, especially for little kids. By using stone walls, a protected pool in the sea has been built. It keeps away the high waves and strong current but not Hawaii's colorful underwater world.

You have a great view of Diamond Head and the Waikiki skyline from the beach. A visit here can be easily combined with a stroll through the Ala Moana Shopping Center .

Special highlight: fireworks take place here every Friday.

What we say

Tommy
The visit to this beach should in any case be combined with a stroll through the Ala Moana shopping centre. Even though the lagoon is artificial, it is really beautiful and you can spend lovely hours here.
Our checklist & tips:
  • Shady places for picnic available
  • Family friendly
  • Diving school on site
  • Restaurants within walking distance
  • Fireworks every Friday
