Kekaha Beach Park - Beschreibung

Kekaha Beach is a seemingly endless beach park with golden sand, high waves, usually strong winds and breathtaking sunsets. The mile-long beach is located only about five minutes west of Waimea, just off the highway.

You have a view of Niihau from the beach, a small island of the Hawaiian archipelago largely untouched by tourism, as well as Lehua, a crescent-shaped completely uninhabited island.

Due to the conditions, Kekaha Beach is not suitable for swimming and snorkelling, but for all water sports lovers, it is very good for surfing, bodyboarding, kiteboarding and windsurfing.

Kekaha Beach is the spot to experience the most beautiful and picturesque sunsets on the island.

What we say

Tommy
An extensive walk at sunset is absolutely recommended here. Those who like action and water sports will head to the beach for surfing or bodyboarding.
Our checklist & tips:
  • Sufficient free parking available
  • Hardly any shade, a parasol is recommended
  • No food on site
  • You can watch whales from the beach here in winter
