Located on Kauai's sunny south shore, about a half-hour drive southwest of Lihue, this beach park was declared among the top beaches in the U.S. once: Poipu Beach. Some of the most exclusive resorts, stores and restaurants are located here. Thus, the bay enjoys great popularity among its visitors.
Poipu Beach offers crystal clear waters, fine white sand, tropical and biodiverse marine life, green sea turtles and endangered Hawaiian monk seals.
The narrow sandbar that divides the beach into two sections is unique and spectacular. The water is very calm here on one side and just perfect to explore the breathtaking underwater world of the reef while snorkelling. On the other side of the sandbar, the conditions are ideal for swimming in the soft waves or surfing with a bodyboard.
The sea at Poipu Beach is calm so even smaller children can swim here safely and relax. Due to the nearby restaurants and shops, all wishes are met here.
