The Hanalei Beach Park is one of the beach sections of the beautiful Hanalei Bay, the largest and most spectacular bay of Kauai. A unique and breathtaking scenery awaits visitors here. The rock walls behind the sandy beach are up to 1200 meters high. The bay stretches for about 2 miles and the green mountain panorama is simply majestic.
The bay is the surf spot of the island. Many surfers enjoy the high waves, especially in winter. In summer, however, you can swim nicely here, depending on the current and swell.
Tip: A stop at the Hanalei Bread Company (on Kuhio Highway) on the way to the beach is worthwhile. The cozy coffee shop is known for its breakfast and very good coffee. Among other things, there are cinnamon buns, various cookies and snacks. All baked goods are homemade and organic.
