Hāpuna Beach Park - Beschreibung

This beach park is one of the most attractive swimming beaches on the Big Island, it is one of Hawaii's top 10 most beautiful beaches. In the background rises Mauna Kea, a volcano and at the same time the highest mountain on earth, which is considered sacred for the Hawaiian culture.

Hāpuna Beach State Park on the west coast of the Kohala Coast is a white sandy beach about 800 meters long with turquoise blue water, framed by the lava rock characteristic of the island. It is a beach for the whole family, here you can swim, snorkel and depending on the swell you can also bodyboard.

Visitors can stay here at the adjacent 4-star The Westin Hāpuna Beach Resort Sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, body boards and surfboards are also available for rent at this beach.

If you walk across the lawn of Hāpuna Beach Resort at the northern end, you'll find a small cove that offers the perfect conditions for snorkeling.

Der Park ist täglich von 07:00- 19:45 Uhr geöffnet.

What we say

Tommy
Beautiful, wide sandy beach with crystal clear water. The conditions for a perfect beach day are here all year round. In winter, with a little luck, you can see whales from a distance from the beach here.
