Lydgate Beach Park - Beschreibung

This beach park, protected from the rough sea, is especially popular with families, as it allows safe playing and swimming even for young kids. The waves are held back by rock walls so that two calm blue lagoons have been created here. It is also a wonderful place to snorkel. The park is located at the mouth of the Wailua River, which offers other popular attractions on the island of Kaua'i.

The well-kept green area with a large number of partially covered picnic areas, toilets, showers and lifeguards, makes the stay here very comfortable. Sufficient shade is also provided by palm trees and shrubs. Opposite the park is a large playground, which makes children's hearts beat faster.

If the water in the lagoons is too calm for you, you can go a little further south along the beach and enjoy the waves outside the protective stone walls of the pools. Depending on the swell, the sea there also invites you to surf, windsurf or bodyboard. Every need is covered and the whole family gets to enjoy it.
