Summer is approaching and which is why we would like to offer you a delicious and refreshing version of the Ahi Poke Bowl today.
Your mouth starts to drool just by listing these ingredients:
Have you got everything? Then you can already start with the Poke Bowl:
Cut the tuna into cubes of about 1 cm.
Peel and chop the ginger. This is easily done with a ginger grater, which sorts out the annoying "threads". After that, peel the garlic, chop it up and crush it with the back of a knife until it has reached a paste-like consistency. Now cut the onion into very fine slices.
Mix about 4 tablespoons of soy sauce in a bowl, add the ginger and the garlic paste. Add about 2EL of the lime juice and some grated lime skin if you like.
Now you can place the raw tuna into the sauce to marinate it. If you have already nibbled from the fresh tuna during the preparation, you must repeat step 1 first 😉
Let's move on! Wash the radishes, quarter them, cut them into wedges and add them together with the onions to the tuna. Mix everything and cook for at least 2 minutes. 15 minutes Leave to infuse in the refrigerator.
And now it comes to the grand finale! A few spinach leaves for decoration (and of course also for the taste ;)) add to the bowl and top the whole thing with some grated lime zest and 1-2TL sesame seeds.
I tell you, it is an incredible taste experience! And the Ahi Poke Bowl brings Hawaii a bit closer to Germany 🙂
One last tip: Buy only sushi-grade ahi. (Ahi = yellowfin tuna, or yellowfin as it is named outside Hawaii ;)) And one more tip: Pay attention not only to quality but also to sustainable fishing methods. By the way, we buy our Ahi at "send a fish". The quality convinces us every time.
Enjoy your freshly cooked Ahi Poke Bowl!
