Ahi Poke Recipe - Hawaiian Style

Ahi Poke - one of our favorite recipes straight from Hawaii !

Man gets it in almost all restaurants on the Hawaiian islands, but also in many supermarkets the selection of fresh pokes is incredibly large. The traditional Ahi Poke consists of yellowfin tuna, the Ahi. Poke, however, is now available in a thousand different variations, with salmon, different marinades and so on. Poke is always prepared fresh and is always ROH.

We were particularly taken with Poke in "Hawaiian Style", so we have this recipe from our favorite store right once for you in the following Ahi Poke Recipe replicated:

Seaweed (called Limu in Hawaiian) is hard to come by, but nothing can really replace it. It brings the kick and is typical for Hawaiian Style Poke, in which mostly the red Hawaiian algae Ogo (Limu Kohu) is used.

In our latitudes, fresh Salicornia (Queller) are the seaweed of choice. These are green, but bring the necessary "bite" and are easier to get.
